Overview
Indian citizens can apply for Brazil e-Visa online β no embassy visit needed. The e-Visa allows multiple entries with a maximum stay of 90 days per visit (180 days per year). Apply at the official portal evisa.itamaraty.gov.br. Processing takes up to 4 working days.
Required Documents
- 1Valid Indian passport (minimum 6 months validity beyond intended stay, at least 1 blank page)
- 2Digital passport-size photograph (JPEG, white background, face clearly visible)
- 3Confirmed return flight tickets
- 4Hotel booking confirmation or proof of accommodation
- 5Bank statement β last 3 months (minimum USD 1,500 or equivalent recommended)
- 6Travel insurance covering entire stay in Brazil
- 7Employment proof: salary slips / ITR / business registration
- 8Credit or debit card for online fee payment (USD 40)
Application Process

Apply at Official Portal
Go to evisa.itamaraty.gov.br (official Brazilian govt site). Create an account and fill in the application form with your passport and travel details.

Upload Documents
Upload passport scan, photo, flight booking, hotel confirmation, and bank statement as per portal requirements.

Pay Fee
Pay USD 40 online using international credit/debit card. Fee is non-refundable even if visa is denied.

Track Application
Track your application status on the portal. Processing takes up to 4 working days. Check spam folder for email updates.

Download e-Visa
Once approved, download your e-Visa from the portal. Print it and carry with your passport when travelling to Brazil.
Tips for Approval

- βe-Visa allows multiple entries β valid for 2 years, 90 days per visit

- βBrazilian Real (BRL) is local currency β carry some cash, cards widely accepted in cities
- βYellow Fever vaccination certificate required if arriving from or via certain countries
