Overview

Indian passport holders can apply for a Schengen visa to visit France for tourism purposes. The visa application can be submitted at the French Embassy or Consulate in India, or through a visa application center. The maximum stay allowed is 90 days within a 180-day period. Indians must apply for a visa prior to their trip as e-visa is not available.

5Hotel booking confirmation
6Bank statement last 3 months (min balance EUR 65 per day)
7Employment proof / ITR / salary slips
8Travel insurance with minimum coverage of EUR 30,000
9Proof of sufficient funds (cash, traveler's cheques, credit cards)

Application Process

Fill online application
Fill the online application form on the France-Visas website and print the confirmation page

Book appointment
Book an appointment at the French Embassy or Consulate in India, or through a visa application center (VAC) such as VFS Global

Submit application
Submit the application and supporting documents at the designated center

Pay fee
Pay the visa application fee in cash or by credit/debit card at the VAC
