Laos Visa Guide

Overview

Indian citizens can obtain a Laos tourist visa on arrival at Vientiane Wattay International Airport, Luang Prabang International Airport, Pakse International Airport, and Savannakhet Airport. The visa is valid for 30 days and can be extended for an additional 30 days. A confirmed return flight ticket and hotel booking confirmation are required. The visa fee is paid in cash only.

Application Process

   Submit application and supporting documents

   Submit the application and supporting documents to the Laos embassy or consulate in India. The application can be submitted in person or through a trusted friend or family member.

   Pay the visa fee

   Pay the visa fee in cash only at the Laos embassy or consulate in India.

   Collect the visa

   Collect the visa from the Laos embassy or consulate in India.

4. 4

   Travel to Laos

   Travel to Laos and present the visa to the immigration officer at the airport or border crossing.

5. 5

   Register with the local authorities

   Register with the local authorities within 24 hours of arrival in Laos.

6. 6

   Extend the visa (if necessary)

   Extend the visa at the Laos immigration department in Vientiane if necessary.
