Malawi Visa Guide

Overview

Indian citizens can obtain a tourist visa on arrival at Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe. The visa is valid for 30 days and can be extended for an additional 30 days. The visa fee is payable in US dollars or Malawian kwacha. Indians are required to have a valid passport with at least six months' validity and two blank pages. A return flight ticket and hotel booking confirmation are also required.

Application Process

1. 1

   Gather required documents

   Collect all the required documents, including a valid passport, completed visa application form, recent passport photograph, confirmed return flight tickets, hotel booking confirmation, bank statement, employment proof, travel insurance, and yellow fever vaccination certificate.

2. 2

   Pay the visa fee

   Pay the visa fee in US dollars or Malawian kwacha at the airport.

3. 3

   Submit the application

   Submit the application and supporting documents to the immigration officer at the airport.

4. 4

   Collect the visa

   Collect the visa from the immigration officer after the application has been processed.
