Mauritania Visa Guide

Overview

Indians can obtain a tourist visa on arrival at Nouakchott-Oumtounsy International Airport. The visa is valid for 30 days and can be extended for another 30 days. A confirmed return flight ticket and hotel booking confirmation are required. The visa fee is paid in cash upon arrival. The Mauritanian government has introduced a new online visa application system, but it is not mandatory for Indian citizens.

Application Process

   Download and fill the visa application form

   Download the form from the official website of the Mauritanian government (https://www.mauritanie.mr/visa/) and fill it accurately. Make sure to sign the form and attach a recent passport photograph.

   Gather required documents

   Collect all the required documents, including a valid passport, confirmed return flight tickets, hotel booking confirmation, bank statement, employment proof, and travel insurance.

   Pay the visa fee

   Pay the visa fee in cash upon arrival at Nouakchott-Oumtounsy International Airport.

4. 4

   Submit the application

   Submit the completed application form and required documents to the immigration officer at the airport.

5. 5

   Collect the visa

   Collect the visa from the immigration officer after the application is processed.
