Overview
Indian citizens can apply for a Mauritian tourist visa online or through the Mauritian embassy/consulate. The visa is valid for 30 days from the date of entry into Mauritius. The visa allows for a single entry and a stay of up to 30 days. Indians can apply for an e-visa, which is processed instantly. The e-visa is valid for 3 months from the date of issue.

Application Process

Apply for e-visa online
Visit the official website of the Mauritian immigration department (https://www.immigration.gov.mu/) and click on the 'Apply for e-visa' button. Fill in the online application form with the required details and upload the necessary documents.

Pay the e-visa fee
Once the application form is filled, pay the e-visa fee of MUR 1,500 (approx โน35,000) using a credit/debit card.

Submit the application
After paying the fee, submit the application form. The e-visa will be processed instantly and sent to the applicant's email.

Print the e-visa
Once the e-visa is received, print it out and carry it along with the passport while traveling to Mauritius.
Tips for Approval
- โUse a VPN to access the official website, as some Indian internet service providers may block the website.
- โMake sure to fill in the online application form carefully and accurately, as any mistakes may lead to rejection.
- โThe e-visa is valid for 3 months from the date of issue, so apply for it well in advance of your travel dates.
- โCarry a printed copy of the e-visa and the passport while traveling to Mauritius, as immigration officers may ask for it.
