Overview

Indian citizens can apply for an e-visa online through the official government website. The e-visa is valid for 30 days from the date of entry and allows for a single entry. The e-visa can be applied for up to 3 months in advance. The e-visa is not extendable. The applicant must have a valid passport with at least 6 months' validity and 2 blank pages. The applicant must also have a confirmed return flight ticket and sufficient funds for the duration of the stay.

Application Process

Apply online through the official government website
Visit the official government website at https://www.migration.gov.rw/index.php?id=101 and fill out the online application form. Upload the required documents and pay the application fee.

Upload required documents
Upload a scanned copy of the passport, a recent passport photograph, and any other required documents.

Pay the application fee
Pay the application fee of RWF 50,000 (approx ₹45,000) through the online payment system.

Submit the application
Submit the application and wait for the e-visa to be processed and approved.

Tips for Approval

✓Use a VPN to access the official government website as some apps may be blocked in Rwanda.
✓Make sure to have sufficient funds for the duration of the stay.
✓The e-visa is not extendable, so make sure to plan your trip accordingly.
✓The immigration officer may ask for additional documents, so make sure to have all required documents ready.
